Introducing Biff! the Lego RoverBot
Biff! the RoverBot was made with Lego Mindstorms
We built him yesterday and taught him to dance and sing a little tune. Today I programmed him to hunt Small Medium and Large. Also, when his moustache touches things he reverses and turns while singing mary had a little lamb or chitty chitty bang bang.

Here’s a movie of Biff! Kitty Hunter (avi)
I couldn’t wait for daylight to make a better recording because Pieter needed to break Biff into pieces to make a new robot.
He’s gone now :( RIP my little bug.

Bush in 30 SecondsCheck out Bush in 30 Seconds - a political advertising contest to find the ad that best tells the truth about President Bush’s policies. These are some of my favourites:

Our Future World Leaders SpeakWhat are we teaching our children? by Fred Surr
Our Future World Leaders Speak by Jamie Moore
In My Country by Outpost 7
Do the Math by Bill Freais
Gone in 30 Seconds by Eric Blumrich

Also, movieHeavyTV News
“The MPAA has shut us down! So far the studio’s have stated that they ‘refuse to allow internet rentals of movies.’ They clearly wish to monopolize the industry and want to shut down any independent ‘virtual cinema’ operators. Please note that this issue is now before the courts and we look forward to seeing a fair and amicable outcome in due course. Stay tuned!”

Rainbow Toe Socks from Sock DreamsWeee! Pieter spoilt me rotten this Christmas. Stuffed into my christmas stocking were a colourful pair of Throx (3 socks - the cure for the missing sock) and pretty long rainbow striped toe socks. You wont find them anywhere else but Sock Dreams. Bsti and Niq also added a beautiful Japanesey Koi wall hanging and sock garters made by Niqis fair hands. Arent they sweet!

USB Christmas TreeAl must have complained to Pieter about my thieving because he also got me the USB christmas tree!! So now I have one for my home PC and Als one for the work PC. Its so beautiful I dont think I will ever put it away. Also Eddie Izzard - Sexie on DVD, so even more reason to save up for a DVD player and a TV that supports new technology. His Sexie tour is totally booked out across the UK. Cant wait to see it. I also got some yummy apple flavoured sour sweets.

V-FIT AMR1 AIRMAG Rowing MachineAnd to help me burn those off, the ultimate prezzie Ive always wanted - the V-FIT AMR1 AIRMAG ROWER. Its huge, weighing in at 32kgs and filling up nearly half the lounge, its a seriously sexy piece of machinery. Thank you pieter my little pie eater!! xxxx

Merry Christmas everyone!!! Happy holidays. Hope you got the day off work and some lovely presents!! What did you get? I wanna see. Does anyone know of good make-your-own-presents sites or ideas? I used to love making prezzies.

We’ve had the most amazing day. It was the first time in 8 years that Ive spent christmas with both my mom and brother (in the same country). Tomorrow Ill post about all the wonderful toys Pieter got me. Lego Blue Brick Sports BagBut for today you can take a peek at the prezzie I got Pieter - Lego Robotics Invention System 2.0 + The Ultimate Accessories Kit + The Ultimate Builders Set, all wrapped up in the Lego Brick Sports Bag. This might sound like a bit of a geeky present, but Pieter has always wanted a robotic gizmo and is also completely obsessed with Lego (although we didnt have any), so when he saw the fat lego brick bag he got really excited and ripped it open! I cant wait for tomorrow. We’re going to spend all day building robotic arms and kitty chasers!

Rubiks Cube Solver using Lego Vision Command and Lego Mindstorms Robotics Invention System 2.0Check out Lego’s Vision Command. Now thats a cool toy I’d like to get to build something like this Rubik’s Cube Solver. It seems to be sold out worldwide.

WhiskasCongratulations! I am one of the lucky 1000 people to win a Whiskas Feeding Mat festooned with mischievous dancing mice. I’ll receive my prize in 28 days.

Play the “Whiskas Christmas Quiz” and win one too! (UK)

Cat facts:
• Although cats can’t see in total darkness, they can see six times better than humans at night.
• Kittens should only be taken away from their mother when they’re 8 weeks or older. Otherwise, they may become overly emotionally dependent on their owner.

GM Christmas tree would glow
Frustrated fiddling with Christmas tree fairy lights could become a thing of the past as genetic engineers have proposed a tree which grows its own lights. The idea for glowing pine needles was dreamed up by five postgraduate students at the University of Hertfordshire, UK, as their entry in a biotechnology competition. It is a perfectly possible proposition, as genetic engineers elsewhere have already created glowing mice, silk and potatoes.

A skinny rapist met his match in an angry, 275-pound prostitute, police said. Adrian Castillo Ramirez, 140 pounds, allegedly tried to sexually assault a 24-year-old Bakersfield prostitute who was nearly twice his weight. But she took his knife, stripped him naked and paraded him in front of other prostitutes, after asking how many of them had ever been forced into sex at knifepoint. Then she tried to take him - still naked - to the police station, reports said.

(Found on pervscan.com. PervScan.com is a “compendium of the latest headlines in sordid behavior. It is not a porn website but an index to the strange obsessions, sexual outrages, and deviant doings that can be found in the news.” which I found on Chapel Perilous)

Nathalia Edenmont's finger puppet miceSwedish artist unrepentent about killing animals
A Swedish-based artist who habitually kills animals for use in her work had no intention of giving up the practice, her gallery said yesterday after protests from animal rights defenders.

Johan Beck-Friis, spokesman for the Veterinary Association, said “When animals are killed for purposes of public entertainment, a veterinarian has to be present to ensure that the animal doesn’t suffer. (Edenmont) has used a large number of animals.”

Bjoern Wetterling, who owns a Stockholm gallery currently exhibiting Edenmont’s photographs, insisted that Edenmont had not only followed Swedish laws on the humane slaying of animals, but that her artwork was actually part of the overall fight for animal rights. The full article…

Here is Nathalia Edenmont’s gallery.
