This is a really handy little app and its free!

Karen’s Autorun.inf Editor
Easily create the Autorun.inf file that allows programs on CD run automatically when the CD is inserted! Now the CDs you create can automatically display a web page, text file, navigate the user’s web browser to a support web site, launch an exe program, pretty much anything. It lets you choose a CD icon too.

She has created some other useful powertools too like the Registry Pruner.

Tail building instructions
“This is a description of how to build a tail to wear in daily life. It is a light construction, easy to wear and to take off when you need it, and sufficiently robust…”

The Tail Man
unci the tail man“When riding your bicycle, you best put a basket on your carrier, and curl up your tail in it, so it doesn’t get caught in the spokes.

If you have to move your tail without wearing it, it can be curled into a small spiral - the plastic ribbon is elastic enough.

When going downstairs, the tail will slide on the stairs. This is usually not a problem, unless the stairs are very dirty, or someone unaware of the tail is walking directly behind you. In this case you will have to carry the tail in your hand, also on escalators where it might be caught in the mechanics.”

rabbitSo You Want To Learn Japanese.

You’ve eaten at a few Japanese restaurants, seen some anime, hosted an exchange student, and had a Japanese girlfriend. And now, somewhere in the back of your tiny brain, you think that Japanese would be a good language to learn. Hey, you could translate video games! Or Manga! Or even Anime! Pick up Japanese girls, impress your friends! Maybe you’ll even go to Japan and become an anime artist! Yeah! Sounds like a great idea!

So you head down to the library, pick up some books with titles like “How To Teach Yourself Japanes In Just 5 Seconds A Day While Driving Your Car To And From The Post Office” and “Japanese For Complete And Total, Utter Fools Who Should Never Procreate”. Hey, you already know a few words from your manga collection/girlfriend/anime. Excited and impressed with your new knowledge, you begin to think: “Hey. Maybe, just maybe, i could do this for a living! Or even major in Japanese! Great Idea, Right?

WRONG.

Iraqi FlagIraqi toll in the thousands
Washington - An estimated 13 000 Iraqis, including 4 300 non-combatants, were killed during the major combat phase of the war in Iraq. (March 19 to the end of April)

The Project on Defense Alternatives said its estimate was based on a review of US combat data, battlefield press reports, and Iraqi hospital surveys.

Of the total number of Iraqi fatalities during the relevant period, approximately 30% (or between 3 200 and 4 300) were non-combatant civilians — that is civilians who did not take up arms,” the report said.

The study, authored by Carl Coneta, found that deaths of Iraqi civilians who did not take up arms in the fighting was as high or higher than in the 1991 Gulf War despite advances in precision weaponry.

New energy source found in tap water
waterScientists who discovered a new way of generating electricity from water say they may have stumbled across an alternative source of clean energy to rival wind and solar power. The breakthrough could lead to batteries that use water instead of toxic substances.

The scientists made the discovery when they were investigating what happens when tap water is forced through extremely narrow glass tubes. “When we took a syringe of water and squeezed it through the filter, we got enough power to light a light bulb,” said Larry Kostiuk of the University of Alberta in Canada. “The harder you push the syringe, the more volts you get.”

Water batteries might one day be used to power mobile phones and calculators. More likely would be to install the electricity-generating devices where water is already being pumped, such as at city water filtration sites.

Thought I’d spread the love and share this heart-warming email I just received from a lovely example of a human-being - JO (mopout@earthlink.net).
The Twin Towers at night

Peace SUCKS when they want to kill you -ASSHOLE
“accidentally blundered into your site . Want to say you Peace Morons have NO fuckin idea what it takes to kill off Evil before it kills you off. All of you should face the Hell of being perched ontop of a tall building and knowing you have to jump and die Splatterred on the pavement below or be burned Alive- I wish you all the Worst Hell in your lives FUCK YOU ALL and DIE you Miserable bastards. GO BUSH and hope someday he Drpos a bomb on your stupid DUMB ASSES”

Give war a chance
It’s been a whole 8 hours since I heard the twin towers mentioned in the media, and Id almost forgotten the whole world still revolves around that event. Please forgive my ignorance JO as I also had no idea it was possible to kill off ‘Evil’. Can you believe its so simple? Now that I know, Ive changed my mind about everything! I see now that violence, hatred, and greed is the way to a better future for all Americans to continue living the good life. And Americans deserve the best. After all, it’s only at the expense of the 3rd world (you know, that place where sub-human beings live?). I realise now that even though terrible things happen to people all over the world, babies being left to prostitute themselves for food or die in gutters due to poverty, corruption and first-world exploitation; bombs being dropped on family homes; God forbid terrible things should happen to Americans! That can only be the work of ‘Evil’ - nothing else could explain it.

Why does all hell seem to break loose on or around the Full Moon?
The term Lunatic is derived from the word Lunar (Moon).

moonSimply put; Hormonal reactions to increased positive ions in the air (Full Moon Effect) cause hyperactivity, depression, violent behavior, road rage, higher occurrences of migraines and asthma. Even bees are known to sting without provocation on higher positive ion ratios. Rate of attempted suicides increases by about 20% and heart-attacks approx 50% higher during positive ion conditions.

In some middle east countries, Judges are more lenient on criminals if the crime was committed during increased positive ion wind conditions. These periodic winds blowing in from the desert are called the Sharav. University studies in Israel concluded that increased positive ions can cause an increase in violent tendencies.

- make your own negative ion generator
- buy an ionizer online (this ionizer is ozone-free, i.e. the needles will never degrade or need replacing, and its suitable for people with asthma and weakened lungs.)

pet llamaLlamas leap to injured farmer’s defence
Llama farmer Graham Bailey fell in a rabbit hole in a field on his farm near Kettering, Northants, and was stranded for two hours before a passer-by heard his screams.

Ambulance crew attempts to rescue the pensioner were scuppered when the head llama led the animals in a circle and began dancing around to protect him and pull him out.

Llamas, Milo, Bertie, Horatio and Felix have been rewarded for their heroics. I love llamas!
