RomTom’s BicycleBus
Here’s an early pic of “the Bicycle Bus”. He’d find bikes in yard sales and at the dump… fix ‘em up… sell a few for gas… but mostly gave them away to poor kids who didn’t have one. It’s amazing this bus moved at all, but I saw it a lot back in the days when things like this were still ‘happening’.

Since I was 14 I dreamed of buying an old bus, restoring it and transforming it into my own traveling home, so when I stumbled across this surprising Steampunk project it got me so excited!
Rolling Homes
I’ve heard lots of wonderful things about this book which was first published in ‘79 but is sadly out of print these days and has become an expensive collectors item.
