The Raelians claimed to have successfully cloned the first human …. and this is just the beginning, they say.

Can it really be done?

Clonaid is the company responsible for this cloning. And surprise surprise, it was founded by Rael.

ufoThe Raelians‘ interest in cloning seems to stem from their belief that the human soul perishes when the body dies. Therefore, they believe, the key to eternal life is not the soul but the recreation of individuals from their DNA.

I have to admit, I am a little scared of the Raelian Organisation.

I love jam toastAfter 2 years of using the oven grill we finally went out today and bought a fancy toaster from M&S that does toasted cheese, defrosts and does bagels as well as ordinary toasting. According to the instruction manual: “Sandwiches must be made from two slices of bread, all fillings must be put between the two slices.” Good to know. Thanks Marks & Spencers.

I was not impressed to discover that its actually the Russell Hobbs Classic Satin TOASTEC 2 Slice Toaster with the label taken off. Somehow this makes the M&S one more expensive!!! Thanks again.

We also got this clock radio with programmable CD and dual alarm to replace my nearly dead 12 yr old one. I know its Moffie Richards, but we just cant afford the SONY ICF CD2000S yet (ooh its so sexy I really want it!). Anyhow the new one is fantastic. Tried really hard to confuse, shock and break it but it refuses to die. Crystal clear reception and great sound too! Highly recommended.

Post-Christmas specials shopping in Brighton was manic today. I didnt find anything I liked on special. Glad its over.

“My uncle is in LOVE with his body and thinks that everyone else should be. And he thinks that it’s funny to show everyone how “great” it is. Last year for Christmas I received a picture frame that showed pictures on both sides. It was a “Bad Dog” frame and the two pictures in it were of my uncle striking poses……..in a speedo.”

This and more er, interesting Christmas story presents here.

Wake up!
Why do we pretend there are no bogeymen under the bed, when you know he’s really there? Why do we allow ourselves to be conditioned like that? Why should adults teach children to sleep-walk through life, and then as adults we have to re-learn an instinct we were born with? If you still have it, learn to use it.

Surgeon & Safari – South Africa : offers quality cosmetic surgery followed by recuperation in the privacy of a game park.

More of the Britons have woken up to the fact that operations in Johannesburg or Cape Town can be a third of the price at home. At Surgeon & Safari a full face-lift, 14 nights at Johannesburg’s swanky Westcliff hotel and a chauffeur comes to less than £6,000. For tummy tuck and liposuction the cost is about the same.

The Guardian has the full story …
