James Taylor Quartet
Wow! I am ashamed to admit this was the first time that I have seen the James Taylor Quartet live. And what a show! I have been to loads of gigs and concerts in my life, but this has to be one of the best yet. They wasted no time and the gig started on a climax, and grabbed you, forcing you to get into the rhythm of their acid jazz/funk music, and refusing to let go until the end of the show… (the 3rd encore!).
The show (featuring various guest artists,) captured the JTQ essence wonderfully - from the trademark organ, to the powerful energy and sound coming off the stage, to the mirrored dancing and cheering by an insatiable audience that just could not get enough. The set also included a good mix of older tracks and music from their new album.
The James Taylor Quartet show was magnificent – check your local press and book your tickets now!
Oscillator, their new album and the 18th one in 15 years, has just been released. Get it here.
