Trusty Ole Shoestring
I'm halfway through the 3 month stint here at InanItah. Pfft... I don't even know what to think about that. Its all too quick really.
Thinking, all the time, about Cape Town, Terlingua TX, Peruuu, the Gobeeeeee Desert, Bisbeeeeeeee Arizona, Austin Texas, Steel City Pennsylvania, Sierra Leone, The Land of Ports Oregon, The Land of Thai, San Fran, and not a cent to rub together to make anything happen. haha! yet. YET! Yet yet yet!!!! Yet it WILL happen. It will ALL happen! ALL. On my own shoestring.
And that's final.
Goodbye Marjanne
Marjanne left today for San Francisco :'( Yesterday I made her a braid with handed down Seawolf Medicine to keep her safe on her travels (photos). Just as I was about to take a photo a little sweetie stopped by to lick her with butterfly luck... he came back later again and hung out with her for an hour while she walked around and did stuff.
Bon Voyage Beautiful!
The Jungle Shower!!!
We have running water again! Here's the grand tour of our bathroom and shower.

Spam of the Day
I fell asleep last night with such an uneasy feeling. So when I woke up and checked my emails this morning, I don't know what I was hoping for, but something, something good or exciting or positive news.
I usually don't read stuff from spammers but I was magnetised to open this:
"Every little thing you desire is available waiting for you to ask. Almost everything you want also desires you. Nonetheless you need to take action to obtain it."
Lovely. I can do that! What a gift this was. A reminder to stay strong. Worrying is wasted effort. How about doing.
eine kleine nachtfreude
A few of my secret nighttime joys on this jungle island that I haven't shared with a soul before...
A mangy old dog who looks like a sack of pathetic little bones with a bumped-raw nose comes to visit me almost every night. He travels 45 minutes from his home to get here. I save scraps from my plate to fill his belly, sometimes I save him half my pizza. He falls asleep under my hammock. Sometimes he gets up in the night and bumps with his nose through the net at me giving me a hell of a startle at times. When intruder dogs come he barks at them. I luff my El Tigre. When he sees me he wags his tail by spinning it around and around in a circle, made evermore adorable by the white tip that makes it look like a sparkler in the night. (more...)
Little Piggy… on the hillside…
A little cutie we investigated on our way back from the lake today...
