The 23.5 million-acre reserve is home to imperiled polar bears, seabirds and one of the densest populations of nesting raptors in the world. Its shores and lagoons harbor beluga whales, seals, walruses and other marine mammals. It was a really fun time! Amazingly, out here in the middle of nowhere Marathon, I have found that EVERYTHING happens. Not a single day goes by without some kind of unexpected event and its impossible for a week to go by without meeting someone really interesting. I just need to get out more, before 10pm huh! The whole duck thing was pretty amazing. Drive safely.
