I wonder what they think…do they love their life? Hate it? Would life as a Kerouacish traveling type be more or less rewarding than the 9 to 5 one they’re running from? If that’s what’s happening there.
To make a motion across America, though, on foot/hiking/backpacking/hitchhiking style…would be an amazing experience, whether you did it with $1 or $10k.
I also like how hobos are migratory, experiencing the world rather than just being bums and sitting on the same street corners, begging for money from the same people everyday.
