Child Swims From Alcatraz
TheMilwaukeeChannel.com: PHOENIX – A 7-year-old boy has become one of the youngest — if not the youngest — person to swim from Alcatraz Island to San Francisco’s Aquatic Park.
Braxton Bilbrey is a second-grader from Arizona who has completed several short-scale youth triathlons. Bilbrey was accompanied on the estimated 1.4 mile swim by his coach, two other swimmers and a Coast Guard boat.
As he reached shore, Braxton was besieged by reporters. He told them he considered his accomplishment “pretty cool.” (more…)
The Megaload!
At last! Here’s that promised photo collection of family, friends and our good times from the last few months. Most were taken by Nathan. If you’re nosy, you’ll probably click this link ;@)
The BEST music video clip you will EVER see!!
Seriously! It’s worth watching the whole thing for the full effect (yes, even you Chad). I wouldn’t for example want you to miss the part with the bikes or the airport scene.
Oh man, I hope I haven’t ruined the surprise now…
kudos to ken!
Happy Birthday Julie!
And with this, my only (and therefore very cherished) photo I have of you, I wish you a wonderful day :@)
The Highs light up my day

There are three fantastic tracks up for grabs on The High’s Space. If you’re fans of UK Alt Indie Rock you’ll love these guys. The moment I listened to the first track I became an instant fan, and I’m really not much into Rock… it takes something special to peek my interest. Singer Songwriter David Best has a dreamy voice reminiscent of Jeff Buckley. Ok, why are you still reading this? WHY havent you clicked on the link yet?!! C’m on!!!
They've done it again!
Check out this “cheeky” ad Designate did for P&O Ferries, make a guess and win a VW campervan!

My favourite progressive trance track of all time!! If you’re into weird little sub-genres of music that take you on long twisty journeys, meticulous production and thumping bass, you have to check this out! It gave me such a rush my heart hasnt stopped pounding…
Cait is a scream!
I just adore her blog. Here’s one that cracked me up:
The Sainted Mother met The Princess’s fiance’s family for the first time Saturday. We were all holding our collective breath because there is absolutely no telling what TSM will say. Since she’s hard of hearing, she says every thing very loudly. Her ‘whisper’ has a bullhorn effect. This has led to some very embarrassing moments.
Two occurred in the doctor’s office. She was eyeing a woman who was significantly overweight. Finally, she leaned towards me and ‘whispered’, “That woman is morbidly obese.” Everyone in the waiting room heard. Nowhere to look after that. Another time, she ‘whispered’, “Do you think Dr. Chen is gay?”
Fortunately, though, she likes Pug’s family. She met his mom, dad, granmom, and a brother. She opined, loudly, how attractive they all are. Of course, if she’d thought they were the worst white trash since Roseanne, she’d have said so just as loudly.
Help Save Japan’s Dolphins!
More than 20,000 dolphins and porpoises are being slaughtered each year and their meat, containing toxic levels of mercury, is being sold as food in Japan, often times labeled as whale meat. Send a letter to President Obama, Vice President Biden and Japanese Ambassador to the United States Ichiro Fujisaki urging them to address this issue »
