I am completely gobsmacked!

book cover

“The book appears to date from the 30s.

It has been pointed out that in view of the fact that the book contains photos of both Sandow and his Daughter it is possible that the only ‘discovery’ that Capt. Rodrigues made was to discover a copy of one of Sandow’s books. Other than that he advocates little or no Physical Exercise, just ‘Posture’.

It is equally possible that this booklet was also a weak excuse to publish photos of naked pubescent females that would otherwise have been banned. You decide.”

Mothers Against Noise

M.A.N. Website

M.A.N logo“WHAT IS NOISE?
Noise is music that uses unpleasant or painful or extremely loud or discordant sound. Noise is also a very dangerous musical trend that is hell bent on destroying civilized culture, this anti-cultural movement is quickly sweeping the globe, and is very dangerous to our youth.”

Seriously, you won’t believe what you’ll read on there. Even more seriously, this site seems to be completely real.

Insert cheesy title

Sweet Dreams Are Made Of Cheese

The age old myth that cheese gives you nightmares has finally been laid to rest this week following the release of a new study carried out by the British Cheese Board. The in-depth Cheese and Dreams study, a first of its kind, reveals that eating cheese before bed will not only aid a good night’s sleep but different cheeses will in fact cause different types of dreams.

New Stuff!

yummy wakameYummy’s blog has just been upgraded to WordPress 2.0!
Please let me know if you discover any issues or problems using the site. Unfortunately the little formatting buttons above the comment form don’t work with the new version but I’m hoping to fix that at some stage.

I’ve also added some new features to the right hand side: a working archive and a recent comments list. Also the really old archived yummy posts from 2002 onwards are now available if you feel like taking a dig around.

Zeitgeist

“It turns out that looking at the aggregation of billions of search queries people type into Google reveals something about our curiosity, our thirst for news, and perhaps even our desires. Considering all that has occurred in 2005, we thought it would be interesting to study just a few of the significant events, and names that make this a memorable year.” – Google Zeitgeist

Actually, the results show a sad state of the world, with the top ten news searches being primarily composed of celebrities like Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Michael Jackson (Janet Jackson tops off the list, even higher than Hurricane Katrina).
