“The scans show that during sexual activity, the parts of the female brain responsible for processing fear, anxiety and emotion start to relax and reduce in activity. It’s very hard to let go.”

I’m not sure about this study though. Sometimes fear can work like a charm. Like the fear of getting caught in the act.
And I’m not sure what it’s like for men, but women can experience at least two completely different types of orgasm – one is highly emotional and etherial (like what they were referring to in the article), the other is very raw and physical (similar to how I would imagine men experience it). They feel completely different. Also some women can orgasm from internal, not just external stimulation – both again are completely different.
Maybe that’s what they picked up in the tests, maybe some of them weren’t faking, they were just experiencing different types of orgasms.
Anyway, you have to wonder where one signs up for these sort of “scientific studies”. And surely just being in an environment like that, with a whole bunch of strangers watching you closely for details, well that would certainly affect the accuracy of the tests since its not a normal environment.

No, usually when I have sex it’s in a very controlled, laboratory environment. Usually the scientists have snacks and fruit punch and will clean up afterwards.

i can understand the socks thing. maybe makes you more aware of your feet, stretches your body. whatever that means. i bet wearing those form-fitting fuzzy winter gloves would be fun too, so you could rip them off half-way. whatever half-way means. but delaying full feeling in a sensitive place like your hands i imagine would be sexaul.
i think men would enter that trance-like state too if there were certain conditions. maybe men are even less comfortable than women with sex and to compensate they turn it into a completely physical thing which has nothing to do with internal emotions.
i think men and women grow up in such different environments and young boys would relate more to girls, in the beginning, if they didn’t think they were supposed to be better than them. they might get this idea from all of the competition that they enter in that they think important rarely have girls in them, such as sports.
when a perfect ‘jock’ realizes in high school that the new competition is won by having an attractive lady on your elbow it might be hard for him to play by the girls’ rules. he might shy away from exploring his emotions, things that might make him feel foolish for the first time in his life. he might settle for appearances and surface stimulation. and etc. perhapses
