“A lot of people don’t really understand how much money is at stake with the Iraq crusade. This diagram could help you to understand what the USA is doing, and what are it’s main goals.”

US CITIZENS CAN VOTE TO IMPEACH
The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors. By assuming powers of an imperial executive unaccountable to law and usurping powers of Congress, the Judiciary and those reserved to the people of the United States. They have:
1. Seized power to wage wars of aggression in defiance of the U.S. Constitution
2. Ordered and directed the violent overthrow of sovereign states
3. Threatened to wage first strike nuclear war against even non-nuclear countries
4. Trashed the Bill of Rights and fundamental freedoms of the American people

Does anybody realise that the three most powerful men in the US today are named Bush, Dick & Colon?

You dont need to rely on professional news sources to hear about Iraq: Salam Pax, Baghdad blogger.

The entities that call themselves “the international community” should have assumed their responsibilities a long time ago, should have thought about what the sanctions they have imposed really meant, should have looked at reports about weapons and human rights abuses a long time before having them thrown in their faces as excuses for war five minutes before midnight… How could “support democracy in Iraq” become to mean “bomb the hell out of Iraq”? why did it end up that democracy won’t happen unless we go thru war? Nobody minded an un-democratic Iraq for a very long time, now people have decided to bomb us to democracy? Well, thank you! how thoughtful.
The situation in Iraq could have been solved in other ways… It can’t have been that impossible. Look at the northern parts of Iraq, that is a model that has worked quite well, why wasn’t anybody interested in doing that in the south? Just like the US/UK UN created a protected area there why couldn’t the model be tried in the south?
Do you know when the sight of women veiled from top to bottom became common in cities in Iraq? Do you know when the question of segregation between boys and girls became red hot? When tribal law replaced THE LAW? When Wahabi became part of our vocabulary?
It only happened after the Gulf War. I think it was Cheney or Albright who said they will bomb Iraq back to the stone age, well you did. Iraqis have never accepted religious extremism in their lives. They still don’t… more
Protect the Western Arctic Reserve From Big Oil
The Western Arctic Reserve, also known as the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska, is the largest tract of unprotected, relatively pristine public land in the United States. The 23.5 million-acre reserve is home to imperiled polar bears, seabirds and one of the densest populations of nesting raptors in the world. Its shores and lagoons harbor beluga whales, seals, walruses and other marine mammals. The BLM is accepting comments on a planning document that sets the stage for oil and gas leasing in the western Arctic for decades to come. Help save this national treasure by telling the BLM to protect the Western Arctic Reserve from dirty fossil fuel development »
