I am fully committed to and value your privacy and security as much as my own. I will NEVER sell or give your information to anyone else or add you to my mailing list simply because you've written to me or added a comment on the site.
Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on your own hard drive containing information about you.
Cookies are used on this site for two purposes:
- To save your preferred layout view, if you change the layout from the default view, the cookie remembers your preference for your next visit. This is simply to save you time for the next time you visit.
- To remember your name, email address and website url, and only if you choose to have it saved to a cookie, so you don't have to enter it each time you leave a comment on the site.
Email and email addresses
To protect your privacy, your email address will never be displayed on the site. If you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line. When you submit comments and feedback, you may be asked for additional information. You are never required to leave additional information and I will never send you unsolicited emails. The only emails you would receive from me are in answer to your questions or comments, or if you signed up to my newsletter.
The contact page
When an email is submitted through the contact page, four additional pieces of information will be sent to me: Your browser name and version, your platform and your IP address.
I need your browser information to help you with any site bugs or errors should you be referring to any. I store the IP address as a deterrent against malicious spam. Your IP address will be displayed on the "Thank you page" once the form has been submitted.
Website counter stats
In order to get hit counts and stats on Yummy Wakame's usage, I use non-identifying and computer generated information. This is for statistical purposes only. This includes among other things, domain, country, browser, platform and which pages you visited on my site. Most websites routinely do this and I never share any of this information with anybody who is not directly involved with this website.
