About Yummy Wakame

Yummy Wakame's Ethical Policy

"An ethical company consistently acts in ways that contributes to a positive development locally and globally. Working ethically is profitable. It's not solely about creating an attractive image outwards, but also about building a positive business culture and motivational internal processes in the organization."
~ Björn Söderberg, WATABARAN

I believe in:

  • Conducting business affairs on sound, ethical principles where every effort is made to trade fairly, openly and honestly with my clients and suppliers.
  • Designing websites that are accessible to all making the web a more accessible place. Please see my accessible design page.
  • Providing design services for ethical- businesses and non-profit organisations including companies, organisations and individuals that promote human rights, the environment, animal welfare, education and health. Outstanding ethical organisations are often promoted in the weblog and on the ethical websites page.
  • Reducing waste by re-using and recycling resources including reusing and recycling paper, envelopes and printer cartridges, and opting for email over post wherever possible.
  • Not conducting business with unethical or immoral organisations such as regimes, companies, organisations or individuals that knowingly harm or endanger people, animals or the environment, or those knowingly in a beneficial parthership with unethical organisations. This includes companies involved in the arms trade, sweat shops and slave labour, tobacco, gambling, intensive farming, animal testing and vivisection, meat, leather and fur trade.
  • Using 'green' service providers and 'fair trade' products from using environmentally friendly printers for large scale print jobs, to opting for green electricity and purchasing fairly-traded corporate gifts.

If you have any questions about this ethical policy or would like to make a suggestion of your own, please get in touch.
